KLIPPEL CONTROLLED SOUND (KCS)
Nonlinear Adaptive Loudspeaker Control
- More sound pressure output
- Active protection against overload
- Cancellation of nonlinear distortion
- Desired linear target performance
- Copes with aging, climate, production variance
- Lowers cost, weight and size
- Enables previously impossible designs
Loudspeakers are highly nonlinear and time-variant systems. Signal distortion, operational instability, heating, aging, manufacturing imperfections, risk of failure, climate and other external influences have always limited the maximum output and quality of reproduced sound.
The KCS algorithm is a new paradigm that tackles all these obstacles at once, actively improving loudspeakers at their weakest points. Its unique adaptive feed-forward nonlinear control system provides linear, protected, and stabilized performance up to the highest input levels over the entire operating range and lifetime. The result is more SPL and bass performance, better sound quality, increased longevity and consistency.
Product Design with KCS
Stand out from the crowd with new, lean product designs that are slimmer, more performant and efficient than your competition. The KCS features can take over important parts of the passive speaker design, which gives you new freedoms to design speakers differently. The more consciously you design the entire audio system with the capabilities of KCS in mind, the bigger your gains will be. Hence, your total system performance can be improved on two levels:
Level 1: Enhance Existing Speakers
Unlock the speaker’s full potential by
- Usage up to its physical limits
- Reduction of required safety margins
- Assurance of optimal alignment
Level 2: Enable New Speaker Design
KCS enables design of a new generation of Green Speakers, producing more acoustical output and less heat by requiring less energy. You can now
- Realize previously impossible designs
- Complement passive designs with KCS
- Use materials more economically (magnet, coil…)
KCS is the new paradigm in loudspeaker design. Learn about its many applications and start your evaluation today!
